Geen officiële Record Store Day 2020 i.v.m. Corona maar toch verschijnen er op 20 juni vijfendertig exclusieve releases van eigen en Belgische bodem. Bij je aankoop (ook online) krijg je een direct-to-disc opgenomen 10-inch  single van RSD-ambassadeur DeWolff. Zolang de voorraad strekt! De internationale RSD-releases worden later dit jaar verspreid over drie  data (augustus, september en oktober)

Verscheidene van de nummers staan op deze lp, maar ook enkele nummers die niet op de CD stonden.

Er is gekozen om aan 1 kant nummers met Herman Brood te plaatsen "The Brood Side" en op de andere kant "The Other Great Side" nummers met Jan van der Meij, Turu Leerdam en Rudy DeQueljoe.

De release was 7 november 2019.

Het is een limited edition van 300 stuks, genummerd en gesealed, zwart vinyl in zwarte polybag.

Zonder Vreemde Kostgangers Boudewijn de Groot,

Henny Vrienten en George Kooymans zou ons muzieklandschap

niet hetzelfde zijn geweest. Voor alle drie geldt dat hun invloed

op de Nederpop van ongekende waarde is. De Groot als Nederlands

meest iconische singer-songwriter, Vrienten als frontman van

Doe Maar, de grootste Nederlandstalige band ooit en Kooymans

als gitarist van onze meest succesvolle rockband: Golden Earring.

Gezamenlijk trokken de heren de afgelopen maanden langs de

Nederlandse theaters als de Vreemde Kostgangers en nu komt er

ook een album van deze supergroep aan.

Hun paden kruisten elkaar vaker, maar tot een samenwerking

kwam het nooit. Totdat ze een gelegenheidsformatie vormden

voor het verjaardagsfeest van Golden Earring-drummer

Cesar Zuiderwijk. Dit spontane optreden smaakte naar meer en

de heren besloten om gezamenlijk iets te gaan doen. Dat ‘iets’

werd een theatertour en de Vreemde Kostgangers waren een feit.

Er werden nieuwe songs geschreven, theaters verkochten uit en

met een bijna jongensachtig enthousiasme spatte het plezier van

het muziek maken van het podium.

Vlak voor de feestdagen wordt de tour afgesloten met een

opnamesessie in de legendarische Wisseloord Studio’s in Hilversum.

Voor een klein gezelschap spelen de Vreemde Kostgangers een

speciale set met nieuwe nummers, wat zal resulteren in een album;

het debuut van wat met recht een supergroep genoemd kan worden.
