The Artisanals' frontman Johnny Delaware groeide op in een klein  stadje in South Dakota, omringd door maisvelden en zandweggetjes.  Niemand had gedacht dat deze plek een inspiratiebron zou zijn voor wat  zou komen. Johnny verhuisde naar Charleston, waar hij de overige  bandleden ontmoette. Binnen een jaar kwam de eerste EP al uit. Het  debuutalbum is onlangs uitgekomen. Het wordt geprezen om zijn  diversiteit; het album bevat naast reguliere instrumentatie namelijk ook  French horn, trombone, een gong en een sitar. Wat kunnen we van de show  verwachten: ‘Een energieke rock ’n roll show! En dan bedoelen we niet  de rock zoals je die kent van AC/DC, maar ouderwets goede rock ’n roll  zoals je dat kent vanuit de jaren 60 en 70’, aldus Johnny Delaware.
